Bonfire recruitment is retained in the recruitment of a permanent Senior Project Engineer – Mechanical for a highly technical all-encompassing project engineering opportunity at its clients world-class manufacturing facility in the UK.
Reporting to the project manager the purpose of this role is to execute all technical aspects of high value projects ( value £5m-£15m) from a pure project engineering perspective safely within agreed timescales and budget.
This fresh opportunity is an all-encompassing hands on role which will touch on detail design for highly customised capital plant for bespoke projects and will contribute in multiple areas, including costing, testing, R&D , refining designs and producing technical specification & scope of work for sub-contractor companies.
This role will allow exposure to design Solutions, Technical Support, BOM’S , Vendor documentation management, Vendor Auditing, Cost management , testing and technical documentation and will allow exposure to key tasks for developing into a project manager.
To be considered the preferred candidate is expected to meet the following criteria
- Be degree qualified within mechanical engineering discipline
- Have at least 5 years demonstrable project engineering experience working with highly complex international projects
- Have engineered projects in excess of £2m+
- Be keen to develop into becoming a project manager
